Buffalo Bill Museum on Lookout Mountain, Golden, CO

The Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave exists to preserve the memory of William F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody. It is located on Lookout Mountain at the elevation of 7,374 feet, one of the larger foothills overlooking Golden, Colorado.

On June 3, 1917, Cody was buried on Colorado's Lookout Mountain in Golden.


William Frederick "Buffalo Bill" Cody (February 26, 1846 – January 10, 1917) was an American soldier, bison hunter and showman. One of the most colorful figures of the American Old West, Buffalo Bill became famous for the Wild West shows he organized with cowboy themes, which he toured in Great Britain and Europe as well as the United States.
