Komi people (people who live in Komi Republic, Russia) are part of the Finno-ugric family that consists of such as the Khanty, Mansi, Hungarians, Maris, Mordvins, Sámi, Estonians, Karelians, Finns, Udmurts.
In 1992, International Funni-Ugric society was established in Syktyvkar, Russia. The purpose of the society is to preserve the culture of funno-ugric people.
Finno-Ugric etno-cultural park was built in Yb, Russia, to hold an annual festival of finno-ugric culture.
