Hiking Mount Galbraith, Golden, Colorado

Mount Galbraith was our first hiking experience in the Rockies since we moved to Denver. Mount Galbraith Park is located near Golden, Colorado, which is only 30 miles away from Denver.

The hike starts at the elevation of 6,000 feet and goes up to 7,000 feet and provides great views of the plains, canyons and city of Golden.

Mt. Galbraith Loop
The trail is 4.7 miles long and it took us approximately 2 hours to hike it. We parked at Golden Gate Canyon Road and followed Cedar Gulch Trail. The Mt. Galbraith Loop circles 1.6 miles around the top of the 7,260-foot peak.

The Cedar Gulch Trail offers great views of North Table Mountain, South Table Mountain, Golden, Coors Brewing Factory, and Denver.

City of Golden

The views were great as well as the nature around us.

The trail at Mt. Galbraith Loop at certian point becomes uncertain and we thought we lost the trail a couple of times.
