Geneva, Switzerland

We spend a few hours in Geneva, Switzerland on our road trip in Europe.

Few facts about Geneva:
Geneva is the second most populous city in Switzerland.
It is known as a city of international diplomacy having served as a site for headquarters for Red Cross and United Nations.

Around the city

Since our time in Geneva was short, we only were able to visit St. Peter Cathedral and United Nations Office.

The St. Pierre Cathedral is a cathedral in Geneva, Switzerland, today belonging to the Swiss Reformed Church. It was begun under Arducius de Faucigny, the prince-bishop of the Diocese of Geneva, in the 12th century, and includes an eclectic mix of styles.

Those willing to climb the steps of the Cathedral's towers will be rewarded with magnificent views of Geneva and the lake.

We saw United Nations Office. Next to it, there was Broken Chair - sculpture commissioned by Handicapped International to urge all countries to sign the Mine Ban treaty and to honor their commitments to help mine victims.
